HACU Chief Advocacy Officer speaks at APIASF Higher Education Summit

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities’ (HACU) Chief Advocacy Officer Luis Maldonado spoke on a panel on June 21, 2018, at the Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF) Higher Education Summit. The panel focused on community collaborations and best practices in mobilizing stakeholders to support our community to advance college access and completion for traditionally under-served students.

The two-day summit, held in Washington, D.C., highlighted how the acceleration of student success, mobilization of communities and resources, and advancement of institutional capacity contribute to broad scale meaningful change for Asian and Pacific Islander American students.



  

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, founded in 1986, represents more than 500 colleges and universities in the United States, Latin America, Spain, and school districts throughout the U.S. HACU is the only national association representing existing and emerging Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs). The Association’s headquarters are in San Antonio, Texas, with regional offices in Washington, D.C. and Sacramento, California.
