HACU and IAPEJM sign MOU to collaborate on partnerships with higher education institutions in the area of public administration

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities and the Institute of Public Administration of the State of Jalisco and Municipalities, A.C. (IAPEJM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on January 15, 2020, at HACU’s headquarters in San Antonio, Texas.

The MOU establishes a partnership to provide a general framework for cooperation between the two organizations to promote and strengthen partnerships between higher education institutions in the United States and Mexico, particularly those in the State of Jalisco.

HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores and IAPEJM President Guillermo Vallarta Plata signed the MOU on behalf of the two organizations.

The Institute of Public Administration of the State of Jalisco and Municipalities, AC, is involved in the development and dissemination of public administration and administrative sciences, and also provides training, consulting, continuing education and research in the field of public administration.

HACU, founded in 1986, represents more than 500 colleges and universities in the United States, Puerto Rico, Latin America, Spain and school districts throughout the U.S. HACU is the only national association representing existing and emerging Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs).
