Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities joins COVID-19 Healthcare Coalition

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has joined with the COVID-19 Healthcare Coalition. The COVID-19 Healthcare Coalition is a private-industry led response to that urgent need. It brings together healthcare organizations, technology firms, nonprofits, academia, and startups. The focus of the coalition is to coordinate collective expertise, capabilities, data and insights to flatten the pandemic’s curve in order to preserve the healthcare delivery system.

The coalition will use data and evidence to inform decisions on:

  • Healthy populations—by understanding the effectiveness of community mitigation efforts through various social distancing efforts and taking actions at the community level to slow the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the burden on healthcare delivery
  • People at risk of COVID-19 exposure who need diagnostic testing
  • Healthcare delivery systems (virtual and physical) with a focus on staff, space and stuff (supply chain)
