Ten students awarded Interfaith Youth Core Scholarships

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has selected 10 students from HACU-member institutions to each receive an Interfaith Youth Core Scholarship of $500. Sophomore, junior, senior and graduate students were among those selected to receive the scholarship for the 2021-2022 academic year.

The Interfaith Youth Core Scholarship recipients are from HACU-member institutions in California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, and Texas.

The student recipients and their institutions are:

  • Baylor University - Grace DeAlessandro
  • California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo - Andy Cristales
  • California State University, Monterey Bay - Tianna Wehby
  • Concordia University Irvine - Grace Monreal
  • Emory University - Maria Cuellar
  • Metropolitan State University of Denver - Noemi Marquez
  • Northern Illinois University - Hector Larson
  • The University of Texas at Austin - Izcan Ordaz Ortiz
  • The University of Texas at San Antonio - Lisa Cortinas
  • University of the Incarnate Word - Jasmine Morales

The Interfaith Youth Core Scholarship is part of the 2021-22 HACU Scholarship Program.
