HACU names Oralia De los Reyes as assistant vice president for programs and services

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has announced the appointment of Oralia De los Reyes, Ph.D., as assistant vice president for programs and services. In this role, she will oversee the areas of international affairs, learning collaboratives, professional leadership development, STEM programs, and student & PK-12 services.

De los Reyes previously served as dean for Student Success at Alamo Colleges District-San Antonio College Campus; prior to that she served as the assistant dean of the Frank H. Dotterweich College of Engineering Rio Grande Valley Engineering Initiative at Texas A&M University Kingsville.

De los Reyes has twelve years of experience in the manufacturing sector and twenty years in higher education research and administration, with areas of interest in student retention, student engagement, and assessment, particularly in evidence-based student success initiatives.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from the Matamoros Institute of Technology; a master’s degree from the University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College, and a doctorate from The University of Texas at Austin.
