HACU National Internship Program welcomes summer session interns

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities welcomed 146 college students selected to participate in the HACU National Internship Program, which is celebrating a 30^- year milestone since its inception. Undergraduate and graduate students participating in the 10-week summer session represent more than 93 higher education institutions.

A Bipartisan Senate Resolution in April recognized the 30th Anniversary of the HACU National Internship Program. In a release, HACU expressed appreciation to the Senate for the recognition and for those who have partnered to help open the doors of opportunity for students across the nation.

“We are grateful to all our federal and corporate partners who have given our interns from Hispanic-Serving Institutions and other colleges and universities invaluable opportunities to gain real world experience to help shape the future workforce of this nation,” said HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores.

Two years ago, marked the first time an entire summer session of students participated in virtual internships due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, six of the federal agencies are providing students on-site internship positions, with the rest working remotely.

The following agencies in the Washington, D.C., metro area and field offices throughout the country are among those providing 2022 summer internship opportunities to students:
