HACU Emerging Leaders’ Summit for college student will be in in San Antonio, application being accepted through Oct. 3

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities is accepting applications from college students for an in-person Emerging Leaders’ Summit on Oct. 28, 2022. The event will take place on the campus of Texas A&M University-San Antonio from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., CST. Students must be enrolled at a HACU- member institution in San Antonio, Texas, or the surrounding area (see list below). The application deadline is Oct. 3, 2022.

The one-day Summit will include career development workshops designed for students majoring in STEM, accounting, business, finance, communications, and marketing programs with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Workshop topics will focus on career opportunities, tips for resume writing, interviewing, and securing internships. Students will also have a chance to meet with corporate and federal employers in attendance.

Five participants will receive a sponsorship to attend the 2023 HACU ¡Adelante! Leadership Institute at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, Atlanta, GA. (Includes event registration, airfare, lodging, and some meals). Must be present to win.

Eligible students must be enrolled in one of the following HACU-member institutions:

  • Alamo Colleges District (Northeast Lakeview College, Northwest Vista College, Palo Alto College, San Antonio College, St. Philip's College)
  • Austin Community College
  • Coastal Bend College
  • Concordia University Texas
  • Hallmark University
  • Laredo Community College
  • Our Lady of the Lake University
  • Southwest Texas Junior College
  • St. Edward's University
  • St. Mary's University
  • Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi
  • Texas A&M International University
  • Texas A&M University - Kingsville
  • Texas A&M University - San Antonio
  • Texas Lutheran University
  • Trinity University
  • The University of Texas at Austin
  • The University of Texas at San Antonio
  • The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio
  • University of the Incarnate Word
