HACU Emerging Leaders’ Summit for college students in California
The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities is accepting applications from college students for an in-person Emerging Leaders’ Summit on April 3, 2023. The event will take place on the campus of San Jose State University from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., PDT. Students must be enrolled at select HACU-member institutions in California Bay Area (see list below). The application deadline is March. 26, 2023.
The one-day Summit will include career development workshops designed for students of all majors with a minimum 2.75 GPA.
Workshop topics will focus on career opportunities, tips for resume writing, interviewing, and securing internships. Students will also have a chance to meet with corporate and federal employers in attendance.
Two participants will receive a sponsorship to attend the 2023 HACU ¡Adelante! Leadership Institute at the Chicago Hilton, Chicago, IL. (Includes event registration, airfare, lodging, and some meals).
Eligible students must be enrolled in one of the following HACU-member institutions:
- Berkeley City College
- Cabrillo College
- California State University, East Bay
- California State University, Monterey Bay
- Cañada College
- Contra Costa College
- Hartnell College
- Las Positas College
- Mills College at Northeastern University
- Mission College
- Monterey Peninsula College
- Palo Alto University
- Saint Mary’s College of California
- San Francisco State University
- San Joaquin Delta College
- San José City College
- San José State University
- Santa Clara University
- University of California, San Francisco
- University of California, Santa Cruz
