The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities is accepting applications for its Voces Nuevas Program, focused on student engagement in advocacy and leadership experiences.

Through a sponsorship made possible by Capital One, ten students (five from California and five from Texas) will be selected to participate in the program. Students will receive a $2,000 participation stipend and attend HACU’s 29th National Capitol Forum on Hispanic Higher Education on April 9-10, 2024, in Washington, D.C.

Undergraduate students in any major interested in public policy and issues related to Hispanic success are highly encouraged to apply. Eligible students must meet the following:

  • Be an undergraduate student sophomore, junior, or senior.
  • Enrolled at a HACU-member institution in Texas or California.
  • Be in good academic standing.
  • Be available to travel and fully engage in HACU’s Annual National Capitol Forum in 2024.

The Voces Nuevas Program is designed to elevate, uplift, and empower undergraduate students’ voices and experiences. Student advocates and leaders are encouraged to apply to the program to help represent the voice of students and promote the development of innovative socially conscious solutions at the local, state, and national levels.
