HACU president and CEO speaks at UTRGV Thrive Summit

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities' President and CEO Antonio R. Flores gave a keynote speech at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley 2023 THRIVE Annual Summit on May 19, 2023, in South Padre Island, Texas.

The Summit serves as an opportunity for resource sharing, knowledge production, and networking.The THRIVE Summit audience included department chairs,Latinas in higher education and in STEM organizations, Hispanic-Serving Institutions networks, and other change agents.

The NSF ADVANCE-funded THRIVE Partnership focuses on supporting and facilitating department chairs at HSIs and their change teams in developing and enacting a plan that promotes a psychologically healthy workplace where faculty, especially Latina/x faculty, thrive.



  

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, founded in 1986, represents more than 500 colleges and universities in the United States, Latin America, Spain, and school districts throughout the U.S. HACU is the only national association representing existing and emerging Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs). The Association’s headquarters are in San Antonio, Texas, with regional offices in Washington, D.C. and Sacramento, California.
