HACU National Internship Program interns begin fall session

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities National Internship Program welcomed its 2023 fall interns with a hybrid orientation on Sept. 1, 2023, for college students serving in Washington, D.C., field offices nationwide and remote.

A welcome was given by HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores, followed by remarks from Elizabeth Pastrano, an HNIP alum, who shared her personal experiences related to the event.

The following agencies in the Washington, D.C., metro area and field offices throughout the country are among those providing these internship opportunities to students:

  • Bureau of Land Management
  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
  • Export-Import Bank of the United States
  • Farm Credit Association
  • Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation
  • Food and Drug Administration
  • Library of Congress
  • National Institute of Health
  • National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
  • National Science Foundation
  • Small Business Administration
  • U.S. Agency for International Development
  • U.S. Department of Agriculture
  • U.S. Department of Commerce
  • U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
  • U.S. Forest Services
  • U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission

Over 200 students will be participating in these internships for the next 15 weeks, as part of HACU’s National Internship Program.

HACU is accepting applications for the spring internship session of Jan 8- Apr 19, 2024. The application deadline for the spring session is Oct 16, 2023. For more information on internship opportunities, click here.
