American Latino Museum Internship and Fellowship Initiative

The Institute of Museum and Library Services has announced the launch of the American Latino Museum Internship and Fellowship Initiative, the first initiative under the American Latino History and Culture grant program. This exciting opportunity offers internships and fellowships at American Latino museums for students enrolled in Institutions of Higher Education, including Hispanic-Serving Institutions.

The initiative aims to support museum-based internship programs and provide museum-based fellowships, focusing on advancing and increasing career opportunities in the study of American Latino life, art, history, and culture. It is a significant step in expanding educational opportunities and enhancing professional paths in the museum field.

Eligible applicants, including colleges or universities in partnership with museums, can apply for grants ranging from $100,000 to $750,000. Applications must be submitted by August 7, 2023, on www.grants.gov, and any projects must begin on Sept. 27, 2023. No cost share is required for this funding opportunity.
