HACU announces USTA Future Leaders in Sport Scholarship recipients

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities and The United States Tennis Association have announced the recipients of the USTA Future Leaders in Sport Scholarship. Scholarships in the amount of $5,000 were awarded to the following students working toward a degree in sports management and enrolled at a HACU-member institution:

  • Dakota B. - Arizona State University
  • Alondra R. - Texas Woman's University
  • Giovanni B. - University of Nevada, Las Vegas
  • Pablo M. - Warner Pacific University

In order to be considered for a scholarship, students must be enrolled full-time in an accredited four-year college or university as a junior or senior and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

“We are proud of these four deserving students for their dedication to their studies and future careers,” said Marisa Grimes, USTA Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer. “We look forward to seeing them continue to excel and make a positive impact in school, in sports and beyond.”

“HACU congratulates the recipients of these scholarships who are pursuing the sports management profession,” said HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores. “This much needed financial assistance will play a significant role in them achieving their higher education goals, and we wish them success.”

The USTA Future Leaders in Sport Scholarship is part of the 2023-2024 HACU Scholarship Program.
