HACU Webinar: Redesigning Dual Enrollment Programs as an On-Ramp to High-Opportunity College and Career Pathways for Underserved Students

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities is hosting a webinar “Redesigning Dual Enrollment Programs as an On-Ramp to High-Opportunity College and Career Pathways for Underserved Students,” on Jan. 31 at 12:00 p.m. CT. This webinar is one in a series being presented for HACU-members this year.

The webinar, presented by the Community College Research Center (CCRC), will focus on the potential of dual enrollment and will review existing research and present a research-based framework for reform called Dual Enrollment Equity Pathways (DEEP). The framework aims to tackle issues of access to dual enrollment for underserved students and includes strategies for college/K12 partnerships to address inequities in their programs. It also outlines mindset shifts required to better support dual enrollment students. Leaders from K12/college dual enrollment partnerships with exceptional student outcomes will illustrate the DEEP framework. The goal is to transform dual enrollment from "programs of privilege" and "random acts" into purposeful models that aim to broaden access and increase quality in college coursework aligned to postsecondary degrees in fields of interest to students.
