HACU visits Dominican Republic to host HACU on the Road

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities President and CEO Antonio R. Flores and staff were in the Dominican Republic on February 13, 2024, as part of its HACU on the Road tour. Universidad Iberoamericana hosted the event on their campus for invited participants. The event brought together approximately 50 participants, including members of the Universidad Iberoamericana community, leaders of Hispanic-Serving Institutions and State leaders from the surrounding area.

Cristina Zapata, UNIBE director of communications, gave welcoming remarks, followed by Odile Camilo, UNIBE rector. HACU President Flores discussed the state of Hispanic higher education, priority issues for Hispanic-Serving Institutions, and HACU programs and initiatives.

HACU on the Road is an initiative designed to promote national and international dialogue about the state of Hispanic higher education among chancellors, presidents of colleges and universities, superintendents of Hispanic-Serving School Districts, corporate leaders, and other supporters of Hispanic higher education.
