HACU visits Puerto Rico to host HACU on the Road

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities President and CEO Antonio R. Flores and staff were in Puerto Rico on February 15, 2024, as part of its HACU on the Road tour. The University of Puerto Rico hosted the event on their campus for invited participants. The event brought together members of the University of Puerto Rico community, leaders of Hispanic-Serving Institutions and state leaders from the surrounding area.

Luis A. Ferrao Delgado, Ph.D., president of the University of Puerto Rico gave welcoming remarks followed by a message from Gladys Nieves, president of EDP University. HACU President Flores discussed the state of Hispanic higher education, priority issues for HSIs, and HACU programs and initiatives.

HACU on the Road is an initiative designed to promote national and international dialogue about the state of Hispanic higher education among chancellors, presidents of colleges and universities, superintendents of Hispanic-Serving School Districts, corporate leaders, and other supporters of Hispanic higher education.
