The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities’ staff and educational leaders from universities in the United States were in Spain for an educational tour from April 22-26, 2024. This initiative, organized in collaboration between HACU, the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE), ICEX Spain Export and Investment, and the U.S. Embassy in Spain, seeks to strengthen educational ties between the two countries.
“HACU’s partnership with SEPIE, ICEX Spain Export and Investment, and the U.S. Embassy in Spain offered representatives from HACU-member institutions the opportunity to visit universities in Spain and explore promising international academic partnerships,” said HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores. “These educational tours strengthen and expand the ties between our two countries, and promote collaboration with higher education institutions abroad that can provide invaluable learning experiences for students and faculty on both sides of the Atlantic.”
The main objectives of the visit are to raise awareness of various aspects of the Spanish and American higher education systems, good practices to contribute to sustainability, university research projects, and activities for the dissemination of Spanish.
