HACU announces speakers of 13th Annual Deans’ Forum on Hispanic Higher Education

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has announced the agenda and speakers of its 13th Annual Deans’ Forum on Hispanic Higher Education, a pre-conference event taking place on Oct. 31, 2024, at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center, in conjunction with HACU’s 38th Annual Conference. The pre-conference event will address topics under the theme “Leveraging Transformational Programs to Support Excellence and Equitable Outcomes.” The Forum will be moderated by Paul Machen, Ph.D., executive director, Institute for Professional Leadership at HACU.

The keynote presenter will be Margaret Doell, vice president of academic affairs at Adams State University, followed by a presentation from Kathryn Regjo, Ed.D., vice president of academic affairs, Colorado Mountain College.

The Senior Administrator panel will include: Phillip De Leon, Ph.D., associate vice chancellor for research and chief research officer, University of Colorado Denver; Roxanne Gonzales, Ed.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs, office of academic affairs, New Mexico Highlands University; Thomas Poon, Ph.D., executive vice president and provost, professor of chemistry, Loyola Marymount University; and Genevieve Siwabessy, Ed.D., associate superintendent/vice president, student services, Allan Hancock College.

The Forum offers deans from colleges and universities across the country an opportunity to dialogue on the state of Hispanic higher education at their campuses, with table discussions and networking opportunities an integral part of the Forum.
