HACU on the Road adds stops to tour

HACU has extended the HACU on the Road tour schedule to include the following stops:
  • Central Valley, CA
  • Rio Grande Valley, TX
  • Albuquerque, NM
  • Washington, D.C.
  • Guanajuato, Mexico 

After the announcement of the tour earlier this spring, HACU received a great deal of interest from the Hispanic higher education community, in particular from the destinations added.

The first HACU on the Road Tour will end spring 2010, but plans to continue visits to other metropolitan areas and countries beyond 2010 are being considered. For updates on HACU on the Road, visit the event website at http://www.hacu.net/hacu/HACU_on_the_Road_EN.asp.

 HACU on the Road is an initiative designed to promote national and international dialogue about the state of Hispanic higher education among chancellors, presidents of colleges and universities, superintendents of Hispanic-Serving School Districts, corporate leaders, and other supporters of Hispanic higher education.



  

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, founded in 1986, represents more than 500 colleges and universities in the United States, Latin America, Spain, and school districts throughout the U.S. HACU is the only national association representing existing and emerging Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs). The Association’s headquarters are in San Antonio, Texas, with regional offices in Washington, D.C. and Sacramento, California.
