The Hispanic Student Leadership Summit, sponsored by Google in partnership with the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU), will gather 50 engineering and computer science students from across the U.S. including Puerto Rico for a two-day summit in Austin, Texas. Now in its third year, this summit was created as an effort to bring Latinx leaders together to share innovative and creative best practices with one another, as well as collaborate with Google’s Latinx leadership to benefit their universities, student organizations, and communities.Workshops include presenters from the Computing Alliance of Hispanic Serving Institutions (CAHSI). CAHSI is a consortium of administrators, faculty, and students from higher education working with non-profits, industry, and government organizations to prepare Hispanic students with the technical qualifications and real-world experiences to shape the future of computing, grow a geographically dispersed network of partners to achieve lasting results, and believe that inclusiveness must accompany diversity.
