Deadline for students to apply for roundtrip flights awarded through ¡Lánzate!/Take Off! Higher Education Travel Award Program is May 19

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) will accept applications for the 19th Annual ¡Lánzate!/Take Off! Higher Education Travel Award Program through the extended deadline of Friday, May 19, 2023. Through this national initiative, HACU and Southwest Airlines will award roundtrip flights to undergraduate and graduate students across the country. Eligibility requirements include being enrolled at a college/university located at least 200 miles from a student’s home and the submission of required essays. Recipients selected will be awarded four round trip tickets on Southwest Airlines for the student to use when traveling to/from the college/university. Click here to apply.

 

Early bird deadline for HACU Annual Conference is May 31

HACU accepting applications for Capital One HSI Immersion program for college students

HACU has partnered with Capital One to offer 50 college students the opportunity to participate in a Hispanic-Serving Institutions Immersion Program on July 24–27, 2023, at the Capital One campus in Plano, Texas. The Capital One program allows selected students to participate in a four-day immersion experience focused on career exploration, professional development, and salary package negotiation. HACU Leader-in-Residence Program deadline is June 23

Applications are being accepted for the HACU Leader-in-Residence Program, a competitive program where students from HACU-member institutions get sponsorship to attend the ¡Adelante! Leadership Institute, the Student Track component of HACU’s 37th Annual Conference. Click here to apply.

 

HACU accepting applications for Voces Nuevas Program

HACU is accepting applications for its Voces Nuevas Program, focused on student engagement in advocacy and leadership experiences. Through a sponsorship made possible by Capital One, ten students (five from California and five from Texas) will be selected to participate in the program. Students will receive a $2,000 participation stipend and attend HACU’s 29th National Capitol Forum on Hispanic Higher Education on April 9-10, 2024, in Washington, D.C.
