HACU accepting applications for Capital One Launchpad: Legacy & Leadership Program for college students

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities and Thurgood Marshall College Fund have partnered with Capital One to offer the Capital One Launchpad: Legacy & Leadership Program. As part of the program 50 college students from HACU-member Hispanic-Serving Institutions will be selected to participate in an extensive and immersive personal, professional, and technical development journey, on July 8-12, 2024, at the Capital One Headquarters in McLean, Virginia.

HSI students selected to the Capital One Launchpad: Legacy & Leadership Program will participate in a five-day immersion experience along with 50 students from HBCUs.  The joint immersion experience is focused on career exploration and professional development. Students will have the opportunity to work directly with Capital One mentors who will guide them toward a final capstone presentation that will conclude the week’s events.

Eligible students must meet the following:

  • Enrolled at a HACU-Member HSI
  • Rising sophomore, junior or senior with a GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Business or technology related major
  • Must be available to travel and participate in the immersion program from July 8–12, 2024 in McLean, Virginia.
  • HSI students selected to attend the Immersion Experience are also sponsored to attend the ¡Adelante! Leadership Institute at HACU's 38th Annual Conference, November 1-3, 2024, at the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center.
  • Stipends will also be administered to the students who complete the Immersion Experience.
